I did discover that filling the tanks is a bit difficult. The EcoTank is nice because you simply have to fill it with sublimation ink. Standard inkjet printers utilize cartridges and require an actual conversion kit to use sublimation ink with the printer. I started researching sublimation and wasn’t quite ready to invest in an expensive official sublimation printer so I went with the Epson EcoTank ET-2720 that I could convert.

Since this isn’t utilizing print & cut, make sure to turn off the registration marks. Simply change the page size to 8.5×11, and you can easily lay out the print. I also use Silhouette Studio to do all of my designs because it is the program with which I’m most familiar. While sublimation printed designs don’t necessarily use a Silhouette Cameo or Cricut machine, it is something that can be incorporated into a larger project. While many colorful designs could be achieved with printable vinyl, there is always the feeling of the design sitting on top of the shirt, or a background color in areas where the image isn’t cut out perfectly. I’ve had my Silhouette Cameo for years, but a couple months ago I decided to look into sublimation and see what fun new things I could create. I’ve been a mean, cut file machine pumpkin these babies out as fast as I can create them.Sublimation has been around for quite awhile however, it has recently started picking up popularity in the crafting world.

Right now I have four videos and 2 are a bit embarrassing. In 2020 I want to create even more video tutorials, and build a YouTube Channel I’m proud to share. Our (as in YOU and ME) Facebook group grew by leaps and bounds. I started sharing video tutorials of things I was creating with my Silhouette Cameo 3, and the tutorials catapulted my Instagram following. As I counted them all up (over 100!!) I feel I reached and exceeded that goal.
As I reflect back on the start of 2019, I had a plan to share lots of free cut file designs.
